At Sekolah Mutiara Harapan, Heroes Day is a cherished event where our school community celebrates Indonesia’s heroes with creativity, respect, and enthusiasm. This year, both students and teachers came dressed as national heroes, transforming the school into a colorful tribute to Indonesia’s rich history. By donning these costumes, we pay homage to the brave men and women who contributed to our country’s freedom and inspire our students to appreciate their legacy in a unique and engaging way.
The celebration at Sekolah Mutiara Harapan is filled with exciting activities that bring the spirit of Heroes Day to life. In our Senior High School, students participate in various competitions, including a fashion show where they proudly display their heroes’ costumes, embodying figures like R.A. Kartini, General Sudirman, and other historical icons. There is also a cerdas cermat (quiz competition) that tests students’ knowledge of Indonesia’s history, encouraging them to deepen their understanding of the nation’s journey. Additionally, a speech competition allows students to express their own reflections on heroism and the values they wish to carry forward.
In every class, students also have the chance to showcase their talents and creativity through special performances dedicated to Heroes Day. From skits and musical numbers to choreographed dances and poetry readings, each class brings something unique to the celebration. These performances not only highlight the students’ talents but also strengthen their sense of teamwork and pride in Indonesian heritage, making Heroes Day a memorable experience for everyone.
